Silver Solder with Cadmium
These Silver-Cadmium based alloys for brazing, despite having excellent metallurgical characteristics such as the lowest brazing temperatures and high fluidity, are no longer recommended due to their cadmium content and associated health problems.
They are suitable for joints with operating temperatures up to 150°C. These alloys have been largely replaced by cadmium-free alloys.

INFORMATION: SILVER TECH BR-12 is a low-cost alloy intended for brazing common steels and non-ferrous alloys such as Copper and its alloys. It has a high brazing temperature and moderate fluidity intended for applications subject to static stress where the low ductility of the alloy does not compromise its use.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 15 is a low-cost alloy intended for brazing common steels and non-ferrous alloys such as Copper and its alloys. It has a high brazing temperature and moderate fluidity intended for applications subject to static stress where the low ductility of the alloy does not compromise its use.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 18 is a low-cost alloy intended for brazing common steels and non-ferrous alloys such as Copper and its alloys. It has a high brazing temperature and moderate fluidity intended for applications subject to static stress where the low ductility of the alloy does not compromise its use.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 20 is a low-cost alloy intended for brazing common steels and non-ferrous alloys such as Copper and its alloys. It has a high brazing temperature and moderate fluidity intended for applications subject to static stress where the low ductility of the alloy does not compromise its use.
BR-SILVER TECH 25 is frequently used in the brazing of steels, copper and brass, being an economical alloy in applications where lower ductility of the union is permitted.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 27 is an alloy similar to BR-SILVER TECH 35 with a lower silver content and more subject to liquation (exudation of an element with a lower melting point) due to a greater melting range.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 30 is similar to BR-SILVER TECH 35 but more economical as it has a 5% lower silver content.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 35 has high fluidity and is suitable for most joints. It has a relatively wide melting range, which is useful when gaps are larger or non-uniform. Heating must be rapid to avoid separation of constituents with lower melting points (Liquation).
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 45 is an alloy that has the lowest brazing temperature in this series in addition to high fluidity, with excellent capillarity for filling very tight gaps. The melting interval is very small, which requires attention during the brazing operation.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 50 is an alloy with low brazing temperature and high fluidity similar to BR-SILVER 45.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 50 is an alloy with low brazing temperature and high fluidity similar to BR-SILVER 45.
INFORMATION: BR-SILVER TECH 51 is an alloy with low brazing temperature and high fluidity, very similar to BR-SILVER 50, with a slightly lower Cadmium content.
